Jim Buchan is a loving father and grandfather with over 40 years of experience pouring his life into others through the written and spoken word.

The Charlie Series began back in the 90s when his family adopted a black lab named Charlie. Jim used Charlie stories to teach his kids lessons about life.
​
When Jim was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, he was inspired to begin sharing Charlie stories again to help his grandkids learn about his journey. He hopes these stories can provide a way for parents and grandparents to speak to their children about important topics and build good character through learning about Charlie's life.
